Most marketing AI is built for marketers. These eight are the ones a developer can hand to Claude Code or Cursor and let it do the work.
The best marketing AI for developers in 2026 is one your coding agent can run for you. My picks are Quick Throttle for short-form video, Creatify for video ads, Higgsfield for images and video from 30+ AI models, OpusClip for cutting long videos into clips, HeyGen for avatar videos, ElevenLabs for voiceovers, Clay for B2B research and Jasper for on-brand copy. Your agent can drive every one of them.
Full disclosure. I built Quick Throttle, and it's number 1 on this list. I'll tell you exactly why it's first, and you can decide if that holds up. I don't own any of the other seven.
What makes a marketing AI good for developers
A marketing AI is good for developers when your coding agent can run it. That's the whole test. If a tool only has a web dashboard, you're the one clicking through it every day, and that's the part you wanted gone.
Your agent talks to tools in three ways. An MCP server, an API, or a command line. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard Anthropic released in November 2024 that lets an assistant like Claude Code or Cursor call outside tools by itself. A tool with an MCP server can be used from your terminal in plain words.
I ranked every tool on three things.
- Can your agent run it. MCP server, API or CLI, and how much setup it takes.
- Does the price fit a side project. A free tier, pay as you go, or pay once. Seat pricing built for a 20 person marketing team loses points.
- Does it do one job well. You're going to wire a few of these together anyway, so one sharp tool beats one blunt suite.

1.Quick Throttle: best for short-form video
Quick Throttle makes TikTok and Instagram content in bulk. You give it a clip and a list of hooks, and it burns the hooks onto the clip. It also writes and illustrates whole slideshows from your product facts, or takes a viral slideshow and remixes it into your own in 3 clicks.
It's first because it's the only tool here built to be driven by the AI you already use from day one: the Claude app, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI, connected in one click. It runs on your own machine. You tell your agent what you want, it writes the hooks and the slides, and the app renders them. Your AI subscription does the writing, so the only running cost is Gemini for the pictures, a few pennies a slideshow of 3 to 6 images.
The format it's built around is the one behind an Instagram account I ran that did around 5 million views. Same clip on every post, only the line on top changed. I wrote up how that account got 5 million views step by step.
The catch is that it needs a Gemini API key (free to get from Google) plus an AI you already use to drive it. It's a desktop app for Windows and Mac that updates itself, with no Node, Chrome or terminal needed. It has its own posting queue. Videos go to your TikTok drafts automatically and Reels post live to Instagram and Facebook. Slideshows are image decks that no API uploads, so you post those yourself.
It costs $8 a week, $19 a month, or $249 once for Lifetime, which keeps working forever but is sold only until 31 October 2026. Monthly goes up to $29 on 1 November 2026, and people who join before keep $19. Every plan has every feature and unlimited posts. If you only want the text on video part, the free hook overlay tool does that in your browser with no signup and no watermark.
2.Creatify: best for video ads
Creatify makes video ads with AI actors. You paste a product link, it pulls your logo, colours and product details, then writes and renders the ad with an AI actor reading the script. It makes image ads too, and it tracks what your competitors are running.
The Creatify MCP lives at one URL and signs in with your Creatify account, with no API key. Creatify lists Claude and ChatGPT as the places it runs. Your agent can make ads, add products and keep your brand details on hand without you opening the app.
The catch is that the MCP is on the Pro plan only. The free plan and Starter don't include it. AI actor ads also read as ads, so they suit paid placements better than an organic feed.
The Creatify pricing page gives 10 free credits a month, enough for up to 2 video ads, with a watermark. Starter is $39 a month for 100 credits. Pro, the plan with the MCP, is $99 a month for 300 credits.
3.Higgsfield: best for AI images and video
Higgsfield puts more than 30 AI image and video models in one account, including Kling, Seedance and its own Soul model for keeping a character the same across shots. It comes with ready-made workflows for UGC videos, faceless explainers, static ads and translations.
The Higgsfield MCP works with Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT and other MCP clients. There's no API key. You sign in with your Higgsfield account, and your agent picks the model and spends your plan's credits.
The catch is the credits. Video eats them. Higgsfield's own guide for marketers puts a 20 second UGC video at 270 credits, or $13.50, while a character sheet costs 0.5 credits, about $0.03. The price moves with the model, the resolution and the length.
You need an active Higgsfield subscription to use the MCP, and everything it makes comes out of that plan's credits. Pick a cheaper model while you test prompts, then switch up for the final render.
4.OpusClip: best for turning long videos into clips
OpusClip takes a long video, like a podcast, a livestream or a product demo, and cuts it into short vertical clips. Its AI picks the moments most likely to hold attention, adds captions and reframes the shot to 9:16.
The OpusClip MCP works with Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT, signs in with OAuth and needs no API key. Your agent hands it a video and gets clips back. OpusClip says 10 clips take about 90 seconds.
The catch is that OpusClip needs a long video to start from. If you don't record podcasts, streams or talks, it has nothing to cut. Past the MCP's free tier, you pay by the render minute.
The OpusClip pricing page has a free plan that keeps your files for 3 days. Starter is $15 a month, and Pro is $29 a month and is the first plan with API access. The MCP has a free tier to try it.
5.HeyGen: best for talking head videos
HeyGen makes videos of an AI avatar reading your script. Product walkthroughs, explainers, ads. The HeyGen MCP server connects to Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and Gemini CLI, and signs in with OAuth, so there's no API key to manage.
For a developer who doesn't want to be on camera, this is the shortcut. Your agent writes the script from your changelog and asks HeyGen for the video in the same session.
The catch is that avatar videos still look like avatar videos. They work for explainers and they struggle in a feed full of real people. They also cost credits every time.
Through MCP, videos come out of the credits on your HeyGen plan with no separate charge. The standalone API is pay as you go. HeyGen's API pricing page says the credits last 12 months and there are no free API credits since February 2026.
6.ElevenLabs: best for voiceovers
ElevenLabs turns text into speech that sounds like a person. It also clones voices and transcribes audio. ElevenLabs now runs a hosted MCP server that signs in with OAuth, and its older open source MCP server points you to it.
Use it for the voice on a demo video, an ad, or a faceless explainer. Your agent writes the script, ElevenLabs reads it, and the file lands in your project folder.
The catch is the license. The free plan doesn't allow commercial use, and credits go faster than you'd expect on long scripts.
According to the ElevenLabs pricing page, the free plan gives 10,000 credits a month. Starter is $6 a month for 30,000 credits and is the first plan with a commercial license. Creator is $22 a month for 121,000 credits.
7.Clay: best for B2B outbound
Clay builds lists of people and companies and fills in the details: job titles, company size, recent hires, whatever you need to write a message that isn't generic. Its AI agent, Claygent, researches each row on the web for you.
If you sell to businesses, this is the tool that finds who to talk to. Clay has an MCP server, so your agent can run its searches and workflows from Claude without opening the app.
The catch is the price and the API. Clay is built for sales teams, and full API access is on the Enterprise plan only. For a solo developer selling to consumers, skip it.
The Clay pricing page lists a free plan with 100 data credits and 500 actions a month. Launch starts at $167 a month for 3,000 data credits and 15,000 actions.
8.Jasper: best for on-brand copy
Jasper writes marketing copy in your brand's voice. You give it your brand voice, audiences, products and style guide once, and every blog post, ad and email it writes follows them. It also has ready-made agents for common marketing jobs.
The Jasper MCP server hands that brand knowledge to your agent. It works with Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf and has 9 tools, including one that runs Jasper's agents and one that writes on-brand content.
The catch is that Jasper is priced for marketing teams. The MCP and the API are only on the Business plan, which is custom pricing with a 12 month minimum. If you're one developer, Claude Code can write the copy by itself.
The Jasper pricing page lists Pro at $69 a month per seat, or $59 billed yearly, with a 7 day free trial. Pro doesn't include the MCP.
How to pick the right one
Pick by channel, not by feature list. Figure out where your users already spend time, then pick the one tool that makes content for that place.
- Your users scroll TikTok or Instagram. Start with Quick Throttle.
- You're paying for ads. Start with Creatify.
- You have no footage at all. Start with Higgsfield.
- You already record podcasts, streams or long demos. Start with OpusClip.
- You sell to companies. Start with Clay.
- You want a video but won't be on camera. HeyGen for a face, ElevenLabs for a voice.
Whatever you pick, put a tracking link on everything you post. A month from now that's how you'll know which tool paid for itself.
How to connect a marketing AI to Claude Code
Most of these connect with one command. For a remote MCP server like OpusClip's, you add it by URL, then sign in once. Paste this into your terminal:
Paste this into your terminal
claude mcp add --transport http opusclip https://mcp.opus.pro/mcp
Then open Claude Code, type /mcp, pick the server and sign in. The same
pattern works for Creatify, Higgsfield and any other tool that gives you an MCP URL.
Each one's docs, linked above, has the exact address.
Mistakes developers make with marketing AI
The first is buying tools before picking a channel. Eight tools and no audience is just a bill. One channel, one tool, a month of posting, then decide.
The second is letting the agent publish with nobody reading. An agent will happily make 50 ads with the same mistake in every one. Have it draft, you read, then it goes out.
The third is stopping after a week. Most accounts go nowhere for their first few weeks. The accounts that work are the ones that kept posting long enough to find the one hook that took off.
Quick questions
What is the best free marketing AI for developers?
OpusClip has the most useful free plan, with AI clipping and 1080p exports, though your files expire after 3 days. Creatify gives 10 free credits a month with a watermark, Clay gives 100 data credits, and ElevenLabs gives 10,000 credits, though its free plan doesn't allow commercial use.
What is an MCP server?
An MCP server is a small program that lets an AI assistant like Claude Code or Cursor use an outside tool by itself. It follows the Model Context Protocol, the open standard Anthropic released in November 2024, so one assistant can talk to many tools the same way.
Can Claude Code do marketing?
Yes. Claude Code can write posts, scripts and hooks on its own, and once you connect MCP servers it can also make ads, cut clips, record voiceovers and research leads. You still decide the channel and read what it writes before it goes out.
Do I need all eight tools?
No. Pick the one channel where your users already spend time and start with the single tool for it. Add a second tool only once the first one is running every week.
Number 1, if you make videos
Quick Throttle is the content factory from the top of this list. It runs on your own machine, it's driven by the AI you already use, and it renders reels and slideshows in bulk from your own footage and product facts.
Want to try the idea first? The hook overlay tool is the free piece of it. It burns your text onto your clip, and nothing leaves your browser.
